Join us for an inspiring evening of choral music as we celebrate the spirit of the season with two magnificent works inspired by St Nicholas.

Benjamin Britten's vibrant and much-loved St Nicolas tells the story of the saint's remarkable life through music of great drama, warmth and joy. Featuring tenor and treble soloists, chorus and orchestral parts, this engaging cantata invites the audience to become part of the performance, making for a truly memorable concert experience.

Complementing Britten's masterpiece is Joseph Haydn's radiant Missa Sancti Nicolai ("St Nicholas Mass"), one of his most joyful and uplifting settings of the Mass. Filled with soaring melodies, spirited choruses and moments of serene beauty, it perfectly captures the hope and celebration of the winter season. We’re also thrilled to invite the Crypt School Choir to accompany us.

And of course, we couldn’t hold a winter concert without including some festive carols too!
